Spicewood, Texas Show Map

Welcome to Spicewood Texas

Spicewood, Texas is rich with spring-fed creeks, some lined with towering cypress trees. Among these are Fall Creek, Little Cypress Creek, Sycamore Creek, Double Horn Creek and Alligator Creek. The jewel, though, is Krause Springs.

The Spicewood area is home to two of the 22 Texas Hill Country wineries.

Nestled between Spicewood and Lake Travis, Krause Springs actually has 32 springs. Its main springs gushes at 70 gallons per minute through a 70-foot-long swimming pool, then dives down a 30-foot limestone cliff covered with ferns, mosses, watercress and elephant's-ears and splashes into a large natural pool on Little Cypress Creek.

Spicewood Texas

Spicewood has become a favorite recreational destination for many enjoying the area's water sports, fishing and hunting. Three Lower Colorado River Authority parks (Narrows, Grelle, Muleshoe Bend Recreational Areas) draw tourists from Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston.

Spicewood is a short drive from Lakeway, Texas.
